He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Penelope Irby Lyle (Tuck); his sons, William Wesbrook Lyle, Robert Hunter Lyle and John Martin Lyle; his grandchildren, Jessica Gonzales, Laura Lyle, Harrison Lyle, Dax Lyle and Fiona Lyle; his stepchildren, Elisabeth Tuck Rose and Reuben McDaniel Tuck, III; his parents, Frances Harris Lyle and William Frederick Lyle; his brothers, William Frederick, Jr. and David Allen Lyle; and his former wife Marcia Brown.
