He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Burt and Desser Parker Burt. He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, Ginger Burt Bruce (Charles) and Robert C. Burt, Jr. (Ashley); his grandchildren, Nicole Williams (Josh), Rodney Wynne (Kelsey), Trey Bruce (Kristin), Abby Speed (Ryan), Hailey Riviere, Peyton Burt and Lizzy Grace Harris; his great grandchildren, Walker, Sutton Williams, Celia, Matt Bruce, Amelia, Laurel Speed and Emma Davis; and his siblings, Jimmy Burt and Carol Brooks. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the A. E. Carter Funeral Home Chapel (1670 Atlanta Hwy, Madison, GA 30650). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Bank of Madison where an agricultural and mechanical scholarship has been established in Mr. Burt's memory.
