It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Shoptaw (Madison, Georgia), born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on March 11, 2020, at the age of 43, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, A. J. Shoptaw and J. W. Weaver, Sr.. He is survived by: his parents, Wyn Shoptaw of Highlands and Bill W. Shoptaw; his son Jason Michael Shoptaw of Madison, Georgia; his sister Allyson Shoptaw Watkins; his brother-in-law Chad E. Watkins; his nieces, Sierra and Ryder Watkins of Atlanta, Georgia; his uncles, Jimmy Weaver and Bobby Shoptaw; and his aunt Roma Renfro of Knoxville.
