She was predeceased by: her parents, Dodson Carter and Lucille Malcom Carter; and her spouse Knox Bell. She is survived by: her children, Joel Eidson, III, Leslie Eidson Turner (Jim) and Shelley Eidson Kester (Scott); her grandchildren, John H. "Jack" Sorrells III (Elizabeth), David Scott Blackwood (Jessica), Jared Chastain Blackwood (Jade), Elizabeth Walker Bell, Chelsea Smith Powell (Dusty), Branden Turner (Emily), Caroline Taylor Kester, Claire Victoria Kester, Meredith Anne Eidson and Joel Franklin "Drew" Eidson IV; and her brother Tommy Carter (Peggy).
Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the A. E. Carter Funeral Home (1670 Atlanta Hwy, Madison, GA 30650). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
