It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Hanes of Madison, Georgia, who passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dorothy Hanes to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Andrew Shepherd and Janie Catherine Shepherd; her husband George Hanes; her brother Jerrell Sheppard; her son-in-law Morgan Beckham; and her great grandchild Kambrey Seabolt.

She is survived by: her children, Clifton Hanes (Carole), David Hanes (Janey), Kathryn Foskey (Jim), Carol Seabolt (Larry) and Ellen Beckham. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Madison City Cemetery West Central.

Memorials may be made to the Madison Baptist Church Nursery Department or to Madison Health and Rehabilitation, in Mrs. Hanes memory.
