She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jose Louis Velazquez and Gabriella Hernandez; her husband Dr. Eduardo Cossio; her children, Elyse Cossio (Phillip) and Luis Ortiz; her grandson Michael Ortiz; and her siblings, Jose Velazquez and Abwilda Velazquez.
