He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Clement Riden and Willie Allene Riden (Malcom); his wife Evelyn Peters of Monroe; and his grandson Seth. He is survived by: his children, Ben Riden Jr. (Terri), Angela Stapleton (Ray) and Krystal Shields (John); his grandchildren, Matt Riden (Lindsay), Garrett Riden (Cayla), Drew Stapleton (Bridgett) and Kayleigh Phagan (Alex); his great grandchildren, Gaines, Malcom Riden, Peyton, Kensley Riden, Grayson Stapleton, Elizabeth, Bryson and Lily Phagan; his sister-in-law Mary Ruth Peters; and his caregivers, Patsy Jones, Gloria Jackson, Tanisha Evans, Mary McCoy and Ann Burke. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Seth Stapleton Memorial Scholarship Fund in memory of Ben Riden Sr., the Wellington Masonic Lodge #467 in Bostwick, GA, or Bostwick United Methodist Church.
