She is survived by: her brothers, Bill Beck (Martha) and Ken Beck (Song); her son Johnnie Powell; and her grandchildren, Leanne Simpson Jay (Elijah), Jamie Slaton (Johnny Ray), Rebecca Keene Bethany (Sean), Meghan Reeves, Marshall Glass (Meghan) and Robert Glass (Kara).

Her smile was always on her face, with the softness of her voice. Then getting to aquaint with her son's and granddog Birdie has been amazing. Thank you Ms. Powell for such loving, kind, thoughtful, generous son's. This dying world won't again see mothers like you were.”
