He was predeceased by: his wife Janie Elizabeth Jeffries Elton; and his parents, Elzie Eugene Elton and Beulah Rae O'Quinn Elton. He is survived by: his children, Gregory Eugene Elton (Kay), Thomas Christopher Elton (Amy), Alicia Mae Mitchell (Chris) and Stacy Renee Elton; his grandsons, Boris Sandy Elton and David Josiah Mitchell; and his sister Winifred Thigpen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Telfair Memorial Gardens (396 E Oak St, McRae-Helena, GA 31055).
