He is survived by: his wife Sandra Sample-Brinkley; and his children, Sonia Brinkley Shinholster, Derek Brinkley, LaShonda Brinkley (Antonio Briggs), Mitchell Brinkley III and Michael Antonio Brinkley. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
