She was predeceased by: her significant other Richard "Duke" Vaughn. She is survived by: her son Tristan James Aderhold; her parents, Brenda Underwood Hamilton of Eatonton and John William Mixon of Macon, Georgia.; and her brother Joshua William Mixon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kristie's honor to All About Animals, P.O. Box 4331, Macon, GA 31208.
