He was predeceased by: his parents, Isam Mathew and Esther Roberts Townsend. He is survived by: his wife Alma Sue Townsend; his daughters, Marsha (William Birdsong) and Rhonda Sue Milliken of Macon, GA; his sister Betty Romine of Ryo Community; his grandchildren, Lea Birdsong, Chris Nelson, Drew Birdsong, Alex Bell and Matthew Milliken; and his great grandchildren, Nathan, Jaxon and Ivy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews he loved.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ponders Funeral Home - Fairmount (2566 US-411, Fairmount, GA 30139). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
