It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eugene Funderburke of Macon, Georgia, born in Pineview, Georgia, who passed away on February 28, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Cuen Funderburke; and his brothers, John, Howard and Gerald Funderburke. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Funderburke; his daughter Susan F. Peterson (Don) of North Charleston; his grandsons, Ken Peterson of Apex and Keith Peterson (Lori) of Gainesville, Georgia; his great grandchildren, Brandon, Simon, Allyson and Connor Peterson; and his sisters, Caroline Little of Perry, Frances Meeks of Cleveland and Ophelia Folds of Pineview, Georgia. He is also survived by caregiver for seven years, and many nieces, nephews, friends.
