She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Jerry Tyson and Onnie Elizabeth Rowan; her husband A. W. Simms; and her brothers, James Tyson and Gene Tyson.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Geneva Tyson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
