She was predeceased by: her parents, Truman McGinty and Essie R. Saunders McGinty; her husband Curtis S Barnes; and her siblings, Betty Brown, Carswell McGinty and Jack McGinty.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Barnes (Billie) of Adel, Georgia, Kathy Lowe (Byron) of Brunswick and Janet Poland (Kenny) of Marietta, Georgia; and her grandchildren, Julie Merwin (Scott), Nathan Barnes (April), Ashley Burns (Matt), Ryan Williams (Sally), Shane Poland (Beka) and Corey Lowe (Christine). She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
