He was predeceased by: his parents, Arch Dacus and Maybelle Mooney Dacus; his wife LeeNora Hicks Dacus; his sons, Mark Anthony Dacus, Donald Lee Dacus and David Leon Dacus; and his siblings, Ruby Lois Dacus Page, Hazel Dacus, Allie Dacus and Grady Dacus.
He is survived by: his children, Doyal Dacus (Jean) of Ellijay, Georgia, Sandra Bone (Mike) of Mableton, Travis Dacus of Lula and Ken Dacus (Peggy) of Lula; and his sister Bernice Dacus Lynn Pinson of Martin. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren.
