It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Alan Melton Sr. of Mableton, Georgia, born in Cobb, Georgia, who passed away on December 12, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Melton and Ruth Melton; his wife Kathryn White Melton; and his brothers, Gene Melton and Charles Reitz.
He is survived by: his brother Mark Reitz of Independence, LA.; his children, Richard Alan Melton, Jr. of Pensacola, FL, Jason Kyle Melton of Winston, GA, Louie Ramsey Johnson of Bremen, GA and Heather Melton Smith of Cartersville, GA; and his grandchildren, Austin Johnson, Ashton Melton, Caylee Johnson, Cole Johnson, Trae Melton, Makyle Melton, Henry Smith, Carson Melton, Thomas Smith, David Smith and Isaac Smith.
Flowers are kindly accepted, however, in lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charity in Richard's name are greatly appreciated.
