With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn Akins Sellers of Mableton, Georgia, born in Carrollton, Georgia, who passed away on December 3, 2020 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Evelyn Akins Sellers to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Prince Pritchett and Emma Hardegree Pritchett; her husband Harold Alfred Akins; her former husband Henry Clay Sellers; and her brother Prince Pritchett, Jr. (Moe).
She is survived by: her son Hal Akins; her granddaughter Amy Shemwell Hughes; her great grandchildren, Kate Shemwell and Grant Shemwell; and her siblings, Jane Drew of Adairsville, GA and Steve Pritchett of Carrollton, GA.. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
In keeping with current precautions due to COVID-19, we are requesting that anyone visiting wear a mask and maintains social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital http://www.stjude.org, one of Evelyn's favorite charities.
