She was predeceased by: her husband Norman "Sonny" Johnson; her son Norman "Gene" Johnson; and her siblings, Caney Byars, Charles Byars, Hughdon Byars, Shelba Burkhalter, Linda Shaw, Barbara Spratling and Betty Sue King.
She is survived by: her son David Neal Johnson (Sharon) of Franklin, GA; her grandchildren, David Neal Johnson, Jr. of Dallas, Kristen Thomas of Mableton and Brittney Johnson of Dallas; her great grandchildren, Bradley, Aiden, Gage and Makenzie; and her siblings, Juanita White (J. W.), Grace Owens (Johnny), Gail Walker (Doug) and Rev. Dale Byars (Ann). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
