He was predeceased by: his mother Lillie Faye Kennedy; his sister Mary Faye Kennedy Herndon; and his wife Virginia Wardlaw Kennedy. He is survived by: his sons, Richard (Laura) and Brent (Linda); his grandsons, Jacob (Jana) and Ryan (Julie); his great grandchild Lily Kennedy; his nephews, Phil Herndon (Sheila) and Scott; his niece Susan Herndon Gordon (Doug); his friend Evelyn Warneke of Hattiesburg, MS.; and also E. P. Kennedy (Red).
