He was predeceased by: his father Arnold Edward Townsend Sr.; his wife Annette Townsend; his son Bradley Stephen Townsend; and his brother Bobby Joe Townsend. He is survived by: his son Carl Edward Townsend; his grandchildren, Laura Anne Christopher (Greg), Jake Townsend (Ashlee), Jeremy Price (Summer) and Amanda Fishback (Nathan); his great grandchildren, Trey Christopher, Kinsley Christopher, Aimee Townsend, Kaylei, Rhyen, Xander and Kopelynn; his daughter-in-law Donna Townsend; and his brother-in-law Harry Winters (Patricia).
