She was predeceased by: her parents, Balarami Chillakuru and Venkamma Chillakuru; and her daughter Uma Kumar. She is survived by: her husband Sankara Palacharla of Mableton, GA; her sons, Sridhar R. Palacherla (Neelima) of San Jose, CA and Srinadh R. Palacharla (Radhika Mudiyala) of Mableton, GA; her brother Janardhan R. Chillakuru; and her caregiver Shun Hawkins. She is also survived by 5 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 3 great-grandsons, 1 great-granddaughter; many nieces and nephews.
