He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Hayward and Arsellia Mincey Hayward; his son Jimmy Bacon; and his siblings, Emma Lou Young Mosley, Benny Hayward, Levony Hayward and Morris Hayward.

He is survived by: his children, Iletha Bacon Waller, Slyvia Telfair, Renee Holland and Darlene Holland; and his brother Harry Hayward (Catherine). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
