With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Russell Walker of Lyons, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Walker; his children, Rasul Shareef Parrish of Edison, Zanita Shontae Greene of Linden, NJ and Lisa Salem (Quincy) of Lyons, GA; his grandchildren, Izahane'T. Parrish, Vaughn Greene, Shy'Yohn Greene and E'lant Qavos Salem; his great grandchild Gregory Diggs-Bulle; his siblings, Gwendolyn Washington (Alphonso) of East Orange, Priscilla Costen (Cornelius) of Collins, Georgia, Colon Walker Jr. of Lyons and Alfonzo Walker of Lyons; his aunts, Thelma Hart of Miami and Betty Collins of Douglas; his uncle Clevon Collins of Newark; and his nephews, Doowop and Dancer. He is also survived by nieces and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Vincent R. Drummer Funeral Home (211 W Liberty Ave, Lyons, GA 30436). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen True-Vine Holiness Unto the Lord Church (506 Peachtree St, Vidalia, GA 30474).
