It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Coursey of Lyons, Georgia, who passed away on October 18, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Diane Hamilton Coursey; his grandson Duncan Coursey; and his parents, Brooks Coursey and Queen Elizabeth Moseley Coursey. He is survived by: his children, Alan Coursey (Tanya), Melanie Coursey Powell (Chad), Nathan Coursey (Amy) of Rackettown, Kelly Coursey (Kristen) and Heather Coursey Jackson (Will) of Baxley; his sister Martha Lou Wilson of Lyons; and his grandchildren, Meagan Brinson (Justin), Brooke O'Steen (Will), Amanda Griffin (Jordan), Shelby Coursey, Cullen Coursey, Carsen Coursey, Emmalee Coursey, Trevor Coursey, Brooks Coursey, Dustin Coursey (Caroline), Dilan Coursey (Megan), Hannah Coursey Smith (Jake), Haiden Jackson, Jailyn Jackson, Braiden Jackson and Raelyn Jackson. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
