He was predeceased by: his parents, John Eldridge "J. E." Swain and Ellen Willis Swain; and his brother Ronnie Swain. He is survived by: his wife Donna Hester Swain; his children, Jason Swain (Abigail) and Lindy Bishop (Dennis) of Lyons; his siblings, Rickey Swain (Pamela) of Ponderosa Community and Sara Wilcher of Soperton; and his grandchildren, Melissa Haines, Lindsey Haines (Greg), Cheyenne Swain (Tyler), Rayni Swain (Zach), Bryar Bishop, Cooper Bishop, Peyton McDaniel, Piper Swain and Paige Swain.
