She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Darden and Geneva Curl Darden; her son Terry L. Phillips; her siblings, Johnny Green Darden, Jr., James Henry "Jim" Darden, Billy Darden, Jeanette Darden, Daisy M. Darden Beasley, Rosa Lee "Rose" Darden Powell and Sally Darden; and her parents-in-law, Richard S. Herring, Sr. and Mary Hodges Herring.
She is survived by: her husband Richard S. Herring, Jr.; her son Glenn Phillips (Kathy) of Vidalia; her granddaughters, Jennifer Phillips of Vidalia and Jessica Phillips of Lyons; her great grandchildren, Macy Strickland, Ariel Sikes and Bryton Sikes; her siblings, Jackie Darden (Miriam) and Christine Dasher (Mark) of Reidsville; and her sister-in-law Marilyn Darden of Lyons.
