He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Johnson DeKarske; his children, Richard DeKarske (Maricela) and Rhonda White (Vernon); his brother David DeKarske (Dorothy); his grandchildren, Xavier DeKarske, Kristian Mobbs and Kadence White; and his great grandchildren, Ryker Cavin and Rayla Cavin.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mason Funeral Home (320 GA-48, Summerville, GA 30747). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at the Lyerly Cemetery (475 Cemetery Rd, Lyerly, GA 30730).
