It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Jo Mills of Lyerly, Georgia, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on November 1, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Cain and Lorine Lance Cain; her husband Russell Hugh Mills; her son Hugh Mills; her sister Peggy Cain; and her great grandchild Destiny Kimbrough.
She is survived by: her son Roger Mills; and her grandchildren, Missy Mills, Jason Kimbrough, Tyler Noles and Jasmine Kimbrough. She is also survived by 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held privately. The Mills family along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home remind anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C. D. C. as it pertains to social gatherings including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
