He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilburn Hardin and Mary Jo Palmer Hardin; and his sisters, Wilma Jo Parker and Laura Faye Everett. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Goodson Hardin; his children, Jimmy Hardin and Ginger McCarty (Guy); his stepson Randy Ragland (Rachel); and his sisters, Beverly and Wendy of Cartersville, GA. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
