We are sad to announce that on December 8, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Gay Nell Shaw of Lyerly, Georgia, born in Eastaboga, Alabama. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. T. "Jake" Pledger and Bessie Turner Pledger; her siblings, James L. "Pat" Pledger and Betty Lou; her siblings-in-law, Buck Johnson, Brenda, Mike Woodard and Charlie Wooten; her father-in-law Bernard Clifford Shaw; and her grandson John Austin Galletta.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Don Shaw; her children, John Gregory Shaw and Gina Shaw Galletta; her brothers, T. C. Pledger (Beatrice), Bob Pledger (Elaine), Artis Pledger (Trish) and Bill Pledger (Jenny); her sister-in-law Shirley Pledger; and her mother-in-law Leona Shaw. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held privately. The Shaw family along with the staff of Mason Funeral Home remind anyone in attendance to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C. D. C. as it pertains to social gatherings including social distancing, gathering limits, and face masks.
