He is survived by: his wife Penny Abernathy; his children, Kimberly Abernathy, Julianne and Kyle Shubert; his grandchildren, Logan Abernathy, Bella Shubert, Hunter Long, Rowan Abernathy and Hayden Long; his children, Adrianna Malloy, Kody Harkins, Justin Brown, Shane Brown, Ryan Dunagan, Josh Walden, Brandon Smith, Blake Fields, Ashley Coker and Joe Spooner; and his siblings, Ronnie Abernathy Pam Wood (Jane), Jeff Abernathy (Melba), Tammy Abernathy and Lorie Samples (Paul). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
