As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Jim may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fitzgerald Evans Kelley and James Fredrick Kelley, Sr.; his brother Charles Evans Kelley (Kimberly); and his nephew Randall Carter Butts. He is survived by: his siblings, Rachel Kelley Butts (Randy), Jesse Williams Kelley (Cynthia) and Susan Kelley Avant (Chris); his wife Patricia Layton Kelley; his child Jamie Kelley Shropshire (Skyler); and his grandchildren, Layton Carter Shropshire, Miles Michael Shropshire and Elizabeth Jade Shropshire.
