He is survived by: his wife Barbara Simmons; his children, Dewight Simmons, Sr., Ormond Ray Simmons, Tad Simmons and Barbara Cordell; his grandchildren, Dewight Simmons, Jr., Clayton Kinsey, Colton Simmons, Anthony Kinsley, Casey McDonald, Kaylyn Stuffel, Mikayla Dudley, Cassie Simmons, Amber Leath, Kalee Kinsey and Bobbie Southwell; and his great grandchildren, Maverick Stuffel, Langston Dudley, Paisely Wood, Kinsleigh Leath, Brooklyn Leath, Finleigh Leath, Hunter Southwell, Haven Southwell, Kenneth Kinsey, Magnolia Kinsley and Allison McDonald.
