He was predeceased by: his wife Othella Owens Powell; his parents, Henry Foster Powell and Eliza Mathis Powell; and his siblings, Imogene Shumans, Inez Hipps, Billie Faye Knowles, Henry Foster Jr. and James W. Powell.
He is survived by: his daughter Angie; his son-in-law Joey Browning of Lumber City; his son David; his daughter-in-law Mary Powell of Denton; his grandchildren, Michael Browning (Melodie), Delvin Powell and Jessica Folk (Shawn); his great grandchildren, Danielle, Anna, Hannah, Gabby, Allie, Gabe and Kadence; and his great great grandchildren, Ivy and Stormi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
