He was predeceased by: his parent Ernest Mote; his mother-in-law Frances White; his brothers-in-law, Richard Marlowe and Kenneth Cochran; and his nieces and nephews, Courtney Lovell, Dorinda Whitfield, Mark Benfield and Kevin Webb.
He is survived by: his parent Elena Miller King; his wife Carolyn White Mote of Lula; his children, Paul Mote of Lula and Pam Alford of Lula; his son-in-law Richie Alford of Lula; his sisters, Charlotte Marlowe of Lula and Joyce Fountain of Lula; his brothers-in-law, Danny Fountain of Lula, Brenda, Daniel Webb of Dawsonville, Joan Cochran of Commerce, Peggy, Hoyt Lovell of Gillsville, Delores and Johnny White of Lula; and also, Ivan, Tonya Mote of Lula, Forrest and Rachel Mote of Murphysboro.
