He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Evans and Janie Lou Brock Evans; his wife Rita Angel Evans; his siblings, Lonnie Evans, Nancy Evans and Future McCallister; and his stepsiblings, Alan Cline and Joann Robinson.
He is survived by: his son Shane; his daughter-in-law Karisa Evans of Lula; his daughters, Michelle (Larry Tatum) and Tammi Hunter of Lula; his brother Rufus; his sister-in-law Sandy Evans of Gillsville; his stepmother Mary Evans of Gillsville; and his stepsiblings, David Cline, Phillip Cline of Savannah and Deborah Menter of Conyers. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
