With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Fred Woody of Lula, Georgia, born in Gainesville, Georgia, who passed away on October 21, 2024 at the age of 61. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard Fred Woody to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Junior Woody and Zona Marcelle Wiley Woody; and his son-in-law John Marshall. He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Marshall of Dahlonega and Michael Holtzclaw of Lula; his siblings, Raymond Woody (Shelby), Carol Rylee (Dennis) and Regina Nash (Harold); his grandchildren, Felicity Marshall, Kelsey Marshall, Cameron Marshall, Ryan Wade, Austin Holtzclaw, Jasper Holtzclaw and Shyanne Holtzclaw; and his great grandchild Willow Holtzclaw. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home (175 VFW Rd, Cornelia, GA 30531). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Chapel (175 VFW Rd, Cornelia, GA 30531).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.
