He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph N. Carey and Helen Edginton Carey; and his wife Daphyne Carey. He is survived by: his close friend Nancy Browning of Lula; his children, Glenda Slade of Corpus Christi, TX, Ralph E. "Skip" Carey of Baytown, TX, Casey Carey (Monnette) of Orlando, FL and Keith Carey (Elizabeth) of Floresville, TX; his siblings, Ruth Miller of Wilmington, DL, Lynn Ivory of Dover, DL, Malcolm (Betty Carey) and Preston (Sue Carey); and his great-niece Kerri Hathaway of Locust. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.
