He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Trotter and Frankie Vandiver Trotter; his grandsons, Brent Trotter and Tony Szatkowski; and his siblings, Bob Trotter, Tom Trotter, Bill Trotter, Lawrence Trotter, Johnny Trotter, Stella Knowles, Ethel Ramey, Leona Trotter, Viola Trotter and Pat Kroswek.
He is survived by: his wife Dora Tench Trotter of Lula; his sons, Walter (Linda Trotter), Dennis (Anita Trotter), David (Beth Trotter) and Dwight (Ruth Trotter); and his grandchildren, Brian, James, Matthew, Jonathan, Rachel, Meaghan, Krystal, Darrell, Eric, Vanessa, Rene, Jose and Loida Sophia. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
