He was predeceased by: his parents, George Flemon Shirley, Sr. and Sally Wright Shirley; and his siblings, Fred of Ralph, O. P., Vick, Alvin, Gene, Robert, George, Sarah Patterson and Lucille Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Webb Shirley; his daughter Angela; his son-in-law Randy Smith of Lula; his son Jimmy Lee Shirley, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Denise of Hollywood, FL; his grandchildren, Steven Smith (Kristan) of Lula, Katy Perdue (Nate) of Clermont, Jonathan Smith (Emma) of Flowery Branch, Nick Bolton of Hollywood, FL, Megan Shirley of Hollywood, FL, Michael Shirley of Lula and Matthew Shirley of Hollywood, FL; and his great grandchildren, Isla Perdue, Lily Smith, Layla Chambers and Addison Chambers. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Memorial Park Funeral Home (2030 Memorial Park Dr, Gainesville, GA 30504). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Memorial Park (2030 Memorial Park Dr, Gainesville, GA 30504).
