She was predeceased by: her parents, James Cecil "Pete" Sullens and Beatrice Thomas Sullens; her husband Lester Marvin "Red" Smith; her siblings, Ronald Sullens and Cathy Sullens Colbert; and her aunt Lucy Wiley Waldon.
She is survived by: her nephew Timothy Colbert; her daughter Cindy Smith Fowler (Dale) of Cleveland; her granddaughter Lauren Chambers of Cleveland; her brothers, Raymond Sullens of Cleveland, Wendell Sullens (Vicki) of Alto and Mike Sullens (Vicky) of Alto; and her siblings-in-law, Rev. Ralph Smith (Ruby), Chillos Smith (Glenice), Clarence Smith (Jeanette), Horace Smith (Debbie), Virginia Banks and Patricia Sullens Richmond. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
In her spare time, Mrs. Smith volunteered for the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, and Reach to Recovery.
