She was predeceased by: her mother Lila Braswell Reese. She is survived by: her husband Aubrey Newell; her children, Michael, Karri Blalock, Parker, Corena Lindsey and Amanda; her son-in-law John Briscoe; her brother Ron; her sister-in-law Barbara Reese; her sister Janet Christensen; and her father Bud Reese. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
