He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Pirkle and Illa Pirkle (Boney); his brother Jimmy Pirkle; and his parents-in-law, Joe and Mildred Wilson.
He is survived by: his children, Andy Pirkle, Bobby Pirkle (Amber), Ashley Cato, Billie Jo Fitzhenry (Doug) and Brandi Pirkle (Joe Moore); his brothers, Donald Pirkle, Alvin Pirkle, Dennis Pirkle and Michael Pirkle; and his grandchildren, Barry Moon, Avery Fitzhenry of Isaiah Holder, T. J, Jaylin Cato, Henry Cato, Jeremiah Bailey, Joey Cato, Clara Norris, Makayla Holder, Emilee Pirkle, Norah Holder, Makenna Pirkle, Abby Bailey and Millie Pirkle.
