With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Lester Cates (Ludowici, Georgia), born in Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on August 9, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his sisters, Sharon Cates and Caroline Ford; his grandchildren, Marisa Cates Costa and Devin Cates; his nephews, Spencer Ford and Keith Whittles; and his niece Allison Siers.
