He is survived by: his children, Sharon Helms (Jeff) of Griffin, Troy English of Griffin and Mandy McGuire (Eric) of Bowdon, GA; his mother Thelma Smith of Jonesboro; his brother Thomas Smith of Jonesboro; his grandchildren, John Thomas Helms, Jacob Helms, Danny Ray English, Breckan McGuire, Alec McGuire and Wyatt McGuire; his great grandchildren, Brayden English and Anna Bell English; and his cousins, Vivian Palmer and Craig Jackson.
