He is survived by: his wife Connie Dean Samples Hicks; his children, Neomia Fann (Marcus), David Hicks, Lou Ann Hicks, Pearl Bass (Stanley), Elnora Stinson (Anthony), Deborah Littles (Russell), Ann Shannon (Kenny) and Linda Armstrong; and his siblings, Annie Adams and Veleen Hicks. He is also survived by thirty-five grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
