He was predeceased by: his mother Margene Brasfield Sparks; his brother Charles Sparks; his brother-in-law Bill Odom; and his son-in-law Allen Dudley. He is survived by: his father George Dempsey Sparks; his wife Bonnie O. Sparks; his daughters, Terri S. Dudley of Louisville and Laura Sparks of Louisville; and his granddaughters, Maura Dudley of Louisville and Jennifer Dudley (Tripp Smith) of Athens.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Louisville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church (824 Walnut St, Louisville, GA 30434). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Samaritan's Purse or the Alcoholics Anonymous House of Louisville in John's honor.
