She was predeceased by: her parents, Furmen Gibbons and Hattie Mae Gibbons (Hall); her husband Joe Mathis; and her siblings, Alice G. Banner, Leroy Gibbons, Joe L. Gibbons and Samuel Gibbons.
She is survived by: her son Alonzo Mathis; her aunt Maggie Knowles of Hollywood, FL; her siblings-in-law, Wade Banner of Bronx, NY and Estelle Gibbons; her goddaughter Vatie Moye of Wadley, GA; her niece Veronica Jones; and her cousin Glenda Freeman of Louisville, GA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
