He is survived by: his wife Dixie Ann Miller Powell; his children, Clay Powell (Tonya), Shon Powell (Greta) and Rebekah Smith (Randy); his sister Lobeta Tucker; and his grandchildren, Ethan, Danielle, John Carter, Katie and Megan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
